We have made a commitment to providing high-quality, natural treats for your furry companions.
We started off with 100% lambs liver treats being made for the local pooches back in 2021.
They became quite popular with our locals and now we sell them here in our Booking office as well as down at the Doggy beach at Bagnalls.
The local sourcing and processing of the liver also reflect a dedication to freshness and quality.
David Bones' Treats come in 50gram packs which is the equivalent to 150grams of fresh liver. When lamb liver is dehydrated, the nutrient concentration increases because water is removed.
Since then we have branched out into doggy icys as well. These are very popular with the local & holidaying dogs on hot days down here at the marina.
Again made with 100% natural ingredients and all the things that dogs really love.
They are enjoyed by young and old alike.
With both our products, they are completely people friendly with nothing that we can't eat.
If you have any questions or need more information about our products, feel free to ask!
Please see below for where you can purchase our yummy treats and find out more about them.

Riboflavin (B2) (0.84 mg): Aids in energy production and maintains healthy skin and coat. Enhances the dog's ability to convert food into energy and keeps the coat shiny and healthy.
Folate (B9) (787.5 µg): Important for DNA synthesis and red blood cell production. Supports overall growth and cell regeneration, which is vital for maintaining tissue health.
Pantothenic Acid (B5) (10.62 mg): Necessary for energy metabolism and coenzyme A synthesis. Enhances metabolic processes, ensuring efficient energy use throughout the body.
Iron (27.88 mg): Crucial for haemoglobin production and oxygen transport in the blood. Prevents anaemia and supports energy levels, keeping your dog active and alert.
Phosphorus (581.25 mg): Works with calcium to build and maintain strong bones and teeth. Ensures skeletal health and supports energy metabolism.

Copper (18.5 mg): Necessary for red blood cell formation, bone health, and nervous and immune system function. Enhances overall health by supporting various physiological processes.
Selenium (26.5 µg): Acts as an antioxidant, protecting cells from damage. Supports immune function and helps prevent cellular damage, contributing to longevity and overall health.
All of these nutrients work together to support various aspects of a dog's health, from energy production and immune function to skin and coat health.
Feeding your dog treats made from dehydrated lamb liver can be a beneficial addition to their diet, providing essential nutrients in a natural and palatable form.
The appropriate amount of dehydrated lamb liver treats a dog should have per day depends on several factors, including the dog's size, age, activity level, and overall diet. Here are some general guidelines to consider:
Treats as Part of the Diet: Treats should make up no more than 10% of a dog's daily caloric intake. This ensures that the majority of their nutrition comes from a balanced diet.
Dog Size:
Small Dogs (under 10 kg): A small piece of dehydrated lamb liver (about 5-10 grams) per day is usually sufficient.
Medium Dogs (10-25 kg): A slightly larger piece (about 10-15 grams) per day can be appropriate.
Large Dogs (over 25 kg): A larger piece (about 15-20 grams) per day can be given, but monitor their overall calorie intake.
Activity Level: More active dogs may tolerate slightly more treats, but it's important to adjust their main meals accordingly to avoid overfeeding.
Health Considerations: If your dog has specific health issues, such as obesity or kidney problems, consult your veterinarian for personalised advice on treat consumption.
Monitoring: Always observe your dog's reaction to new treats. Some dogs may have sensitivities or allergies to certain ingredients.
Hydration: Ensure your dog has plenty of fresh water available, especially when consuming dehydrated treats.
